It's $1299. Mind you, you can configure to just $1199 (with the $100 instant off) and it will still work. So you're really just saving $300, but still.

Unfortunate that HP isn't including the cost of the warranty in the overall minimum of the laptop to apply the coupon.. Considering it is an HP consumer laptop, it makes it not such a good buy over more reliable brands with better inherent warranties at a similar $/specs.

Does anyone know when the $400 HP Pavilion notebook code expires? The Dell coupons have an expiration date but that one doesn't.

I'm in the market for a new notebook but it's going to be a couple of weeks before I can purchase it. I'd like to know if this is like a weekend special or if it lasts through August or something like that.

Nevermind...I just noticed on another page on this site that it expires after 2700 uses.

Does anyone have the dv5t notebook? Is it any good? I've also been considering a Dell Studio 15 but have heard that some people are having problems with them.

Additionally, does HP run deals like this ($400 off) often?

I don't want to be "bullied" into buying a notebook too suddenly, but at the same time I don't want to miss a good deal if it only comes around a couple times a year.
