Re: Dell XPS M1530 Review
Thanks for the review.
What manufacturer did Dell use for the display? (Its probably been asked before but didn't want to scan through 14 pages
)
Spec wise seems very well equipped! Price equivalent to USD is only 1200 here

Re: Dell XPS M1530 Review
Hey guys. I am really worried since i didn't know that it made much difference between 5400RPM and 7200RPM. Now i'm confused. I ordered a 5400RPM HDD for my m1530. I think it's getting delivered on tuesday. I still have a chance to change it. Do you think I should? My main tasks would be watching a lot of films, shows, etc., some video/photo editing, and occassional gaming. I got the 2.2 Ghz processor, 8600M GT (256mb) graphics card, and 2GB ram.
Also, do you guys think the 2GB RAM is enough to do the said tasks?

Re: Dell XPS M1530 Review
I was reading up on this samsung ssd and it seems to be an amazing piece of hardware. I believe that soon, if not yet, the hdd is already dead. I think it is well worth the purchase in the m1530. Super quiet, reliable, fast, smooth, power efficient. Only thing is right now the capacity is too little even for the average user, but there is talk of 128GB coming during first half of 2008, hopefully it will be available in the m1530.
I know some might think price is a con, but there are just way too many pros that simply make it worth it!!!
Check out demo video of benefits

Re: Dell XPS M1530 Review
Well it's also an advertisement for a samsung product by samsung. So it can actually be biased.
But, SSDs in tests on NBR, shows that it really is a lot faster than the regular HDD.
I'd prefer waiting for 120gb+ of memory capacity and waiting for the price tag to be about $100-400 :P
