hey fellas, i failed to mention another nice design feature of this unit. There is a removable cover over the 2 fans on the bottom that is easily removed providing easy access to cleaning the fans. This should help keep the fans free of debris, thus adding to the life and proper operation of this unit. Kudos again to Fujitsu!
"Good luck with that!"

pentium4 - poor thermal/computional ratio - requires noisy fans

Thank you for the response. Thermal and computational ratio to me seems just fine. "All" Pentium 4 based laptops only get around 2 hours of battery life. This is common knowledge, and as well I knew it was going to be fairly poor. As I stated above the battery life was a non with me personally, and so I didnt deduct marks for the battery life based on this. I knew exactly what I was getting. The Fans albeut louder than most still are not loud enough to me to be bothersome, but some would disagree I'm sure. I would like to state as well A close friend of mine just benched his shiny New Dell i9200 Centrino 2Ghz Dothan, 1GB RAM, and the same Video Adapter with a 5400 RPM 80GB Hard Disk and only scored 4213 in PC Mark 04. You still cant beat a P4 based Laptop in terms of Raw horsepower. Best HP for the buck in my opinion. Of course we all have our opinions and I respect yours. Thank you again for your comments.
oops sorry I should add the Warranty is one year Standard. extendable through Fuji Direct. As well the pics I took really do not do the screen any justice. It really is one of the nicest screens you will ever see. I urge anyone who can track one down in a store to see for yourself. Absolutely fantastic!
Cheers

That is tied with the HP DV1000 as the sleekest, sexiest looking laptop in my opinion.

Looking at the metrics of this notebook, its doesnt seem that much bigger than the average 15.4" widescreen notebook. Am i correct in saying that? Sure, it is a bit thicker and heavier. Are there any 17" Centrino notebooks out there?
Thanks.

Yes I think there are a few Laptop Models with a 17" Display and Centrino Technolgy... The Dell i9200 I think? hehehe but it dont hold a candle to the Screen of the Fuji, as I had seen the Dell briefly, when my friend who bought one showed it to me.
Your right about the dimensions. My last Laptop, the ASUS M6BNE was a 15'4 Laptop, and it was only a tad bit smaller than the Fuji. Of course it was only 6.5 Lbs, and about 1.5" thick.
If your shopping for more power for the buck, and weight and battery life are not much of a concern, you still cant beat the P4 above 3Ghz in Laptops. There are still faster than a Pentium M even @ 2.1Ghz IMHO
Fujitsu N6010B, P4 HT 3.2Ghz, 1GB, ATI R9700 128, 17" Crystal View
