    LOL, good idea

Too bad I have just the one laptop
I would probably find some plastic, similar to the lid to practice on

    thanks everyone

RaYYaN i practiced on a battery charger's cover first :P
    sanding is the worst part

for disassembling and assembling.. i had 2 videos i found online

then the rest is quite easy.. if you get errors with spray paint.. wet sanding can solve it

    Thanks for the info

I am defiantly going to spray mine
But I am just waiting until the warranty is up, because spraying it will void the warranty and I'll wait just to be safe
Also, you sprayed the actual design on, as opposed to someone putting a sticker on a painted base right???

Yes. a friend of mine redrew the Manta Ray on a lot of masking tape already stuck on the cover. Then cut using an x-acto knife right on it.

The easy part was mine ^_^ spraying, then wet sanding it a bit as it got a little level higher than the surface.. makes it look even.

    Cool

Your friend is good at art
I like drawing similar stuff (tribal art and the like) so I'll probably mask of flames or a design the same way your friend did, once I re-paint the whole thing, and sprayy those after
