How to get a better wifi signal?
Anyone have any ideas on how to? I live on campus and sometimes in my dorm the signal drops down to 3 to 2 bars. So I was wondering are there any ways to stop that?
If it helps I have a broadcom 4321AG 802.11 a/b/g/draft-n WIFI Adapter in a HP laptop. thanks

According to this link, placing metal sheets behind the antennae of your router can bounce the radio waves and essentially "boost" the signal. Still, not everyone reports success with this. Worth a try, though."Earth" Desktop | Asus 21.5" 1920x1080 | C2D E6750 @ 3.0GHz | 4GB RAM | 500GB + 1TB HD | Radeon 6850 | Corsair TX650 | Windows 7 64-bit

That's true, we call that a reflector, but you will change the antenna pattern perhaps for your own benefit but you will punish the other student using the same router. I'm assuming this is the situation at campus, a router for a floor or two, or even for the whole building.

You can try disabling the power saving feature on your wireless adapter, but this may cost several minutes of battery life.
