Re: iPod touch wont connect to wireless router
Does the router work with a notebook? If it does, then its probably not the router issue.
My iPod Touch connected fine to my wireless network. Did you make sure to set to the right encryption setting? WEP, WPA...Apple MacBook Pro 13 | OS X Snow Leopard | 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo | 4 GB RAM | 250 GB HDD | SuperDrive

Try removing quote marks from the WPA key.

Re: iPod touch wont connect to wireless router
I have had precisely the same issues with the same router. I can access the network if the security setting is set to "none", but this is impracticle, of course. I then checked to see if I could acquire a friends network using his password and had no problem. I could also acquire the network at the local Apple store. I also had no problem accessing the network with my son's earlier version of Ipod touch, and 2 MacBooks.
Changing the setting to WEP, as the Apple help desk suggested did not solve the issue. I spent over an hour on the phone with the help desk, without resolution. Apparently, Apple is working on this and I am to call back in about a couple of weeks. I am tempted to start over with another router.
Please let me know if you have found a solution in the meantime

Re: iPod touch wont connect to wireless router
I also have issues with my father's iTouch. It will not connect to our DIR-615. Luckily, our ISP provides a DSL modem with a wireless router built in, but I would like to see if this can be fixed. Nothing else has issues with this router. It's the most reliable I've used. PSP, PS3, and 4 laptops connect fine.

Re: iPod touch wont connect to wireless router
I have a DIR-655 and my Touch connects fine. I belive it is set to WPA2 also.
If you use N, make sure that the router isnt set to N Only.
SOmetimes though, the touch has glitches. Try selecting Other in thw WiFi detection section, and then putting in all your network info and try to connect again. ALso reboot the ipod and router. Sometimes, you have to do a complete restore/wipe of the iPod too.
