Default Windows XP How to connect to Wifi with non broadcasted SSID?

On the mac and on the windows vista machine it connects to the wifi router. The SSID is not broadcasted so it is not seen in windows xp. There is a WEP encryption on the router. I have the key that is provided for me, but I can't figure out how to connect to it in windows xp.

I have windows XP professional with SP2 with all the updates done to it.

I'm doing this from memory, so I apologize if I'm a little off in this, but here goes (I'm assuming that Windows is managing your wireless connections, and not a utility from Dell or another vendor):

Open Control Panel, then Network Connections. Locate the connection for the wireless card, right click, and select properties. There should be a tab for Wireless Networks. Click on that, and toward the bottom, there should be a list of all networks you have connected to in the past. There should be a button to Add a new network. Click that, and enter the network information (SSID, Encryption type, and encryption key). In that same dialog box, on the 3rd tab, there should be an option to connect automatically when you are in range of that network. Check this box if you always want to use this network when you are within range.

Close all of the dialog boxes, and your network card should locate and connect to the wireless network.

    Hope this helps!
