Default Ordered GT70. Arrives tuesday. questions...

I used to game on PC's years ago. This was back in the days of 600MHZ, Pentium III's and TNT 2 ULTRA.
These were the days of Everquest, Quake III and the massive disappointment of Daikatana. Good times..
I then switched to consoles and have been using them for my gaming fix for the last however many years.
I am now getting back into computers and I can't wait.
I have recently been familiarizing myself with the new tech but find myself a bit confused on where to start.

    With regards to the GT70...

Once i get the beast, what is the first thing i should do with the it before it is ready for BF3 and it's kind?

Do i need to install drivers, hardware updates or should the thing be good to go out of the box?
Any other basic tips i should know?

    Lay it all on me.

    -Thanks

It should basically be good to go, since it's a "new" (rebranded) chip, you need to wait for drivers to catch up to it.

Your laptop should be game ready right out of the box, but there are a few things you should do first.

Check your system and components to make sure everything is there and working properly.

Register your warranty with MSI, I can not stress this enough.

Install a good anti-virus such as Avast! or AVG and team it with Malwarebytes Anti-malware.

I would recommend either Firefox or Google Chrome for web browsing.

The usual Flash Player and Java Script installs should always apply.

Install your games, and have fun.

yeah, I'm pretty pumped. i found PC gaming to be much more engrossing than consoles. I got a week before summer classes begin and I'm using up my vacation days. Now if i could just get rid of my GF I'd be set.

I'll post my admittedly neophytish impression upon arrival.
