Re: MSI MS-16F2 Barebone Bios Updates
I know that meaker but i was asking for both the Vbios update and Bios/EC update at the same time. LOL. Doesn't look good though for Ivy Bridge does it.

Re: MSI MS-16F2 Barebone Bios Updates
Not sure what happened mate to be honest was going though diags for throttling issues i new the stock 3.05 didn't do this so went and flashed backwards. Dumb i know but it was worth a try.
But i have now fixed the throttling issue it was the GPU no being happy with the thermal pads replaced the cheap nasty ones that come with OEM spec'os and now its flies again. Athough a nice 670M would be nice shame about the Ivy Bridge CPU's not being supported.
Before even saying AMD/ATI i jumped that ship long ago LOL.

A 670 is just an OCd 570, not much difference, to be honest. Why don't you just get a 570? Much cheaper, even.

Re: MSI MS-16F2 Barebone Bios Updates
Oh right so the 16F2 didn't include the optimus technology ?
Just looking in the bios and i have found SG (Switchable Graphics) which is at 0x02FE but in the drop down there is only iGFX PEG PCI and AUTO could it be that AUTO is SG??

I have OSX Lion hackintosh running with all hardware working including accelerated graphics and sound. If anyone is interested I'll create a step by step guide to get your 16f2 fully functional with Lion. (10.7.3)
