    If people start getting rid of that damn outdated and useless optical drive there would be SLI/Xfire setups in 15inch notebooks.

    I agree, if you need an optical drive, can just use an external one through esata.

    True dat. I can't remember when the last time I used my optical drive. I do need a blu-ray drive though--they are usable in external cases, right?

    Why not

    Just a quick ebay search shows a few external blu-ray drives.

    The only problem I could see is having enough power for the drive (could use AC power if needed), apart from that it should be perfect through esata.

    So the GT and GX will both have esata and usb3.0, right?

    I read that right now drives are still faster through esata than USB3.0.

    And since the GT/GX660 has both esata and USB3.0, I guess the 680 will also.

    GX680 is such a waste, if the 6870m is the 5870m.

    Wasn't to long ago that you didn't find top model cards in less than a 17" chassis because of the GPU's TDP.
