That's 1hr of OCCT. Now everyday usage : Idle temps 34-36 , Gaming 60-65.

Yeah dead, did a full 12 hour session haha, never passed 90C for GPU and 80C on CPU and NB, ofc that was after a nice bit of alteration to voltages otherwise the NB just burns up haha,

Ofc you don't stress a machine like that (Well i series you can) but you'l never find a GPU getting that crit,

Makes no sense, did they remove heatpipes off the GPU, i can't remember the last time i looked at it haha.

Why haven't they broadened it !

Damit why does the GPU copper surface look like they've just slapped some copper shims together without anything to dissipate the heat,

Mind you its around the same as the asus g73 gpu temps when being stressed tested but the asus CPU cooling is pretty superior.

All they did is changing the positioning of the ram & turn the cpu clockwise , everything else is pretty much the same ..

Agreed , that's what gets on my nerves .. there's even space for a 2nd hdd ..

That's why i've turned my attention to clevo and asus for the time being ..

Shame, they could have gone far with this, and the release dates suggest a good revamp of the internals, obv not Clevo i think would be my next looker. But this machines not gna die for a while, and with a potential q9200 upgrade me = happy .

May be the next line of G's will be different.. good start in the 660.

Clevo is top of my list but like you said , there's plenty of life left in the "lowly" 4850.

Hopefully it'l last dam long, i think with DX11 round the corner, we won't see 10 anymore, but 9 and 11 will be standard.

We do have some nice scores Dx10 suck big time , hopefully they will make good use of 11 .. anyway , 9 will still be around for some time so we don't really need to worry about those things

They always drop the ball on thermal paste. Same goes for the GX640. This is the good thing about getting a barebones notebook.
