Re: MSI GX740 with 5870 1gb ddr5
It seems that there's a new VBIOS that fixes overheating issues, as it's stated here. Has anyone tried it out yet?
MSI GX623 || P7350 @ 2.4 GHz || ATI 4670 @ 700/925 MHz 512 MB GDDR3 || 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz
WD Scorpio Black 500 GB 7200 rpm || Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits

Re: MSI GX740 with 5870 1gb ddr5
There aren't OH issues as far as i can see,
Idle temps look to be cooler yeah,
Max clocks, unless the voltage has been changed won't be any cooler i dont think.

Re: MSI GX740 with 5870 1gb ddr5
It's "almost" the same vBIOS as posted here!
But will check it.
MSI has slow testers
OK OK, there is slightly difference! The vBIOS-info and the UVD clocks.
Lowering to 400/600 is better than 500/1000.
Edit:
Uh, early monday
It's not the UVD, which is different. It's the high load 2D setting (clockinfo 02)

Arctic Cooling Thermal Adhesive. You can purchase it on ebay, just like I did. It works wonders, just make sure the layer is really thin. Apply some pressure while heating up with a hair dryer (for approx. 3-4mins).
