64 degrees gaming and 70 degrees load sounds awesome! What paste did you use? That is definitely something to be proud of.

AS5 not my preferred paste, but just what happened to be laying around. I really think it might have had more to do with lubricating the fan. It sounds a little louder now, but at the same time it also sounds like its running faster.

Hey thanks for the great post! The pix are excellent, btw. I do have a minor nit to pick. I would have recommended disconnecting the power and battery before proceeding.

O_o' I didn't even notice the battery was in, definitely should do that.

you don't really need to activate it , if your right click on the speaker icon ,select sounds then advanced tab , you can configure it so that other applications that supports MIC can control it (Like msn , skype & even games)

All I got was static from the recording.

hehe true but i love my lap..i have it 6months and no scratches AT ALL no finger prints no dust!!
