Re: MSI GT735 w/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3850
You're right... it is a pretty sweet deal. I looked at some youtube videos to see how the graphics card could hold up to demanding games like Crysis and the game runs pretty smooth with practically all settings at high...

Benchmarks here: http://www.notebookjournal.de/tests/...p_ati_hd3850/2
Nvidia 9700M GT is faster in most of those benchmarks. The MSI is with AMD CPU, the others with Intel.

Re: MSI GT735 w/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3850
Whats the quality like on MSI machines? I am considering the GT735 as a somewhat outsider right now, mainly because I have no clue about the brand. I wish it had to HD bays and thats actually the only disadvantage it has over Asus G71V and Acer 8930G, but any info regarding overall quality, noise and keyboard would be most welcome.
Hardware:
Asus G73SW - 13.957 pts 3Dmark06
Prev: Dell XPS 17 - 12207 pts 3Dmark06
Prev: Asus G71V - 6300 pts 3Dmark06

Re: MSI GT735 w/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3850
I don't know guys - this thing fails against the 9700m GTS.
For the same money you can have a 9800m in the Gateway 7811FX or the Asus G50Vt-X1.VAIO S15 w/ modded 640m LE @ 1000/1000, Samsung 840 Pro

Re: MSI GT735 w/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3850
The G50Vt-X1 maybe has a better GPU. The only thing secure is that the Intel CPU is better than the AMD CPU in the MSI.
But the MSI is 17" has bigger resolution and 4 speakers/1subwoofer. I believe is better to compare this model with other 17".Sony Vaio PCG-FX140- Died 3 Years Ago. Rest in Peace (but really in parts in eBay).
