Thanks for the rims spray recommendation. The thing is that solution requires regular maintain/respray

Re: Wrapping my BMW X5/E53 need some help
no more than the vinyl. its going to be no less resistant to rocks and whatnot than the vinyl. and the beauty of the plasti-dip is you can just peel and respray. it may look easy online but vinyl is a to lay properly and not look like around the edges. it looks good in pics but up close all the seams and separations are not too easy to make pretty.
I've done plenty of vinyl projects over the years and long before it became a popular tuner thing and ill stick with the plasti-dip.
from my experience with it so far its just my preference. ill let you know how it holds up to being washed though as i have yet to do so.

Actually I will paint spray the rims with Dupli Color. It takes more works but I think it's worth it

The PlasticDip will eventually peel off. I'm going to clean and sand the rims and then re-paint it.

I've been using plasti-dip on car projects for the past 4 years. Awesome stuff.

Was it easier/more difficult than you thought it would be? Any trouble areas? Looks great in that pic.
