I agree that the FT86/BRZ is a very different car than the mustang. That being said, many in here still are going with the outdated mindset that the mustang is only capable in a straight line, which is not true in the slightest anymore.

Am I the only one who thinks it looks at least a little like a Nissan 370z, which is what I'd personally rather have?

Yeah, it does have a relatively similar profile to the 370Z.

A huge downside of the 370Z for me, at least, is that it only seats 2. I'm definitely going to need at least 4 seats, so that's a huge plus of the FR-S in my mind. Not to mention that the 370Z is at least $5000 more.

Since the announcement that the BRZ is being sold in low volume, the price gouging is killing it for me. I can see spending $25k to $27k, but anything higher, there's more attractive choices.

One of the Subaru dealers here have already stated the lowest price BRZ is going to start at almost $29k as soon as they get one.

supply and demand. i think the BRZ looks better anyways. i'm patiently waiting for what the "STI" version will reveal.

Yeah, the affordable pricing of both the FR-S and BRZ is kind of key to the car's success. Once it starts approaching $30k, it gets in the range of many more options that will definitely lure potential buyers away.

With Subaru's placement strategy for the BRZ, I can't imagine them selling many, not while the FR-S and other competitors are available for less.
