Personally, I don't wish the Z3 would go back into production at all. BMW made the changes they did to the first-gen Z4 and now the second-gen based on lessons they learned from the Z3.

    Schedule that test drive.

There are A LOT of Audis at my work, as well as where I live, and that's kinda put me off.

Well lately I've been observing that there is much more German cars on the road nowadays!
I see tons of BMW (1 and 3), Mercedes (C class) and Audi (A4). This is frustrating for a guy like me, riding an old Mazda Protege >____>

I've driven a Z4 for a brief period at the BMWPC on their short handling course. I thought it felt soft and not sprung correctly compared to a 1 series or 3 series. The model is very fun to toss around but I feel that it is more of a cruiser than a performance vehicle.

While I've never driven a Z3, I would very much like to purchase one for a daily driver. Sure, the suspension is a E36/E30 amalgamation but the vehicle seems to be a German Miata. However, I would love any car that is a manual and comes from BMW

I was thinking about getting a M5, but dunno If I could handle the gas milage on a v10, plus I don't think it's as fast as the CTS-V, sooo not sure.

It's not.. and the CTS-V has the potential to go faster!! for very cheap I'm talking 3 grand or less

The V10 M5 is kinda capped but the new Bi-turbo M5 mite have some potential tuning wise

I was thing bout the CTS-V but I don't need 2 fast cars the DI V6 gets me there just fine

I imagine my current car will keep me going strong for many years until I get my practice going with a steady income.

If that were today, I would be looking at the Chrysler 300C, waiting until they fit the new 8-speed autobox.

That's a vehicle I would proudly display in front of my building everyday, and in my garage every night.

Wouldn't touch one until they get the ZF gearbox. Also wouldn't touch one new because of the huge depreciation. With the bad fuel economy, these cars will be good used car values. Not sure about getting them fixed in the long run, since so many dealers went out of business. Not sure about the Fiat buyout. Not sure if I'd want to pay for the gas.

That BMW V10 has some issues. It's a good thing that it's going away.

The CTS-V is quick. Lot's a torque. Not so sure about the rest of the car, which is way too heavy. First generation was known for rear differential problems. The current car seems pricey and poorly packaged. I'd wait for the smaller RWD Caddy that coming next year. It might be a lot lighter.

Well, the do sell well. You also start to notice all of the VW parts if you spend some time with one. That's both good and bad.

The big aluminum A8 is an awesome car. Not much punch off the line like a big Mercedes or BMW, but a big, comfy quick car. A4s are a dime a dozen. People buy them because they lease cheap. Oddly, nobody was buying the regular V6 version, so now there's just the base 4-banger turbo and supercharged S4.

But I like the A8. Might be a great used car. Just don't get into an accident because it's made of aluminum. Hard to fix. Expensive to insure.

Neighbor has one. It looks way too much like a base A4. It's attractive in dark colors, but it just looks like a car that's half the price.

The current Z4 looks brilliant with the hard top up. Not quite so crazy about it with the top down. It's also fairly pricey compared to the Z3s of yesteryear, but I guess it's a lot more car. I like it well enough. Personally, I don't think I could ever live with a rag top anymore. Folding hardtops are the thing.
