Windows XP startup problem

We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.
I pulled the plug out shutting my pc down properly coz I was alte for work, so as a consequence this appeared. I have tried every option below but nothing works , it just loads and keeps going back to the same message below, please what do I do?

If a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or because the power/reset button was pressed, or if you arent sure what causes the problem,choose start windows normally.

-SAFE MODE
-SAFE MODE with networking
-SAFE MODE with Command prompt
-Last know configuration -your most recent setting that worked
-Start windows normally
