Wallpaper is the excellent Colors Of New York.
VS is the also excellent SlanXP2. It's a great Vista-esque theme for XP - seems to achieve that neutral black appearance. Looks great with a colorful wallpaper.
    What do you think?

A halfway decent desk. Definitely a nice wall. What do you use AutoHotkey for?

Cool backdrop, though I'd choose a Formula-1 vehicle or an exotic car (Austin Martin DB9 comes to mind).

On Vista, I've tried having my taskbar on the top of the screen, even on the left & right sides, but always ended up moving it back down to it's default location. With Windows 7, I think I'll keep it on the left or right side with it's new look.

Major props for taking that yourself! Nice photo.
I'm personally not a fan of bunches of icons, but at least your arrangement of them isn't super boring.

Lol, yeah, me neither, but's it my XP machine that I use for gaming but I only have 2gigs of RAM so I don't want to use anything that looks good like ObjectDock till I get 4gigs.

Try Launchy and set the indexing to zero minute intervals (that means manual). When you add something, rescan. So much cleaner than icons and pretty darn fast.

I dont use autohotkey. i have AeroShake up there in the taskbar. Its an addon peice of software, as this isnt actually win7 its just vista.

You cant really see it in that desktop until i mouse over, but i have a ton of widgets for rainmeter all along the right side hiding.

i prefer the minimalist desktop. i HATE clutter on my desk.
