Also my rainlender is not loading either even thou i selected that option the the rainlender options. And one more thing. How do u change icons. I know how to change shortcuts but like the open folder icon that diplays for every open folder. I have a different one i want to use but couldnt find out where u go to change it. Thanks in advance. Also +Rep. for ya CeeNote.
The desktop wallpaper should be saved. Did you right-click the picture and say "set as desktop Background"? As for changing your icons, there is a free program called "WinBubble". Just install it; you can easily change icons in the "icons" tab.

Just follow my guide if you want to change your theme. It's on the first page of this thread. I haven't figured out how to change the login screen though.

No, just use it from within the OS but make sure to download the version of vista glazz that works with your version of vista (VG 1.0 for vista / VG 1.1 beta 3 for vista with sp1)

it is a lot more reliable if you your patch the files yourself, instead of having VistaGlazz doing it.

Yup, just follow the guide linked in the first post. It worked fine for me.

    you mean:

    1. First download the above files suited by your operating system(i.e., 32 bit or 64bit)
    2. Now login with Administrative privileges and navigate to %systemroot%\System32
    3. Right-click uxtheme.dll and click properties.
    4. Take ownership of the file and close dialogs.
    5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for themeui.dll and shsvcs.dll
    6. Right-click uxtheme.dll and click properties.
    7. Give yourself (or group) Full Control permissions and close dialogs.
    8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for themeui.dll and shsvcs.dll.
    9. Rename uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.old.
    10. Rename themeui.dll to themeui.old.
    11. Rename shsvcs.dll to shsvcs.old.
    12. Copy patched files into %systemroot%\System32
    13. Reboot to take effect.
    14. Now you can easily apply any custom visual style.

Yes, that is what I mean. And I used this tool to take ownership of the three .dll files.
