Notebook CPUs don't have IHSes.
Most 8750Hs run at 3.4–3.6 GHz after the long-term power limit of 55–60 W. Perhaps try power-limiting your CPU and see that your score, too, drops?
So there have been absolutely zero records of flashing modified vBIOSes besides power limits?
Of course. However, is it not possible to otherwise modify the vBIOS to enable core and memory overclocking?
I get ISV certification and all, but...
That review is wrong. The GTX 1070 in the Zephyrus M GM501 is also a full-fledged GTX 1070, not a Max-Q version.
Ah, yeah. 65 W, my bad.
I suppose it's possible, (if and) once this tool is updated for CFL notebooks, to unlock the voltage and clocks as well,...
How have I not found this thread for this long?
I'm planning to get myself a Dell Precision 7530 with a Quadro P3200 (supposedly not Max-Q, but...
There are no two ways about it. The latest MacBook Pros are power throttle-fests. Forget thermal throttling, forget over-current throttling.
Great details, all.
Also, could any of you figure out to what extent the displays on the 7530 can be overclocked to, if at all?
Pics or it didn't happen, man. It's what everyone is asking for here. Get some screenshots of the 125 W GPU.
Also consider Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.
@Dell-Mano_G, there is a serious performance deficit in these Quadros. If users will not be allowed to boost performance (and let's face it, these...
Wow. First the P3200, now the P5200. What's the point in paying so much for reduced performance?
Agreed. I would like to see an explanation for this (and a consequent change in either their marketing or a firmware update to up power limits)....
The ZBook 15 is not for sale yet, methinks.
Even HP's own website says 'Notify Me' instead of 'Buy Now' or something along those lines....
