As long as it's not a dream color model it should be able to work without a MXM card.
I'm not familiar with the config of the vanilla 1050s, I had the 1050 TIs in mind & according to everything I have seen they have the same render...
my laptop has a whitelist for direct edp output to the panel so I have to use optimus & I have no idea how that would work with a 1050 desktop...
Does anyone know if the Gecube 1050 TI is an mxm version of the desktop card or are they a proper mobile version? (which ironically is superior)...
Did anyone ever backup the AMD WX7100 MXM vbios? If so has anyone tried it on the RX480 GeCube card to see if that would enable eDP?
I was away from this site for awhile but yes, I think I was able to install the GeCube bios but I ended up going back to MSI.
I think I figured it out myself by doing my own experimenting with information gained from your guide, thx for the reply though.
it could be enough but if the price difference between that and a 200w PSU is minimal I would suggest that instead
I thought 1be1 was either for the BGA version or the Max Q version as all regular 1070n MXMs should be 1BA1
it might be the 120w charger holding you back
You have my attention
Some of these later model Elitebooks the ones that support Dreamcolor screens have eDP output my suggestion was for those with such setups
That driver is not combination limited and instead includes both mobile and desktop gpus? You learn something new everyday
Why would you believe that to be the case there is no way that there is an entry for that combination in the inf
