Default CLEVO W251HUQ / Linux : Loud FAN

Hi , I just bought a CLEVO W251HUQ / Linux , and something is wrong with the BIOS. the fan keeps being really loud regardless of the CPU load.

the weird thing is that when ran with Windows, the Fan behave normally although it seems to me that the ACPI cannot know anymore what OS is ran.

yes I've tried, to pass a kernel parm on Linux , so the kernel tells the ACPI that it's Windows 2006, and it did not change anything.

I don't understand why clevo don't tale 2 minutes to test his bios with Linux.

No But isn't this related to power management ? I didn't as I tried also with 12.04 that have the kernel patch related to pcie ( in my mind ) .

Thanks I should try that soon

That would be the first thing I would try, if that doesn't work can you post more details about your system?

Between 40 and 60 degrees depending on the load. But the Fan cannot really get the CPU below 40 degres , the Fan stops only when it's getting below 40.
