Both Vmware server & xVM have flawless USB support.
I'd recommend xVM under Windows and Vmware Server under linux.

crap....another problem.
i was trying to install the xvm one for windows, and i get that "windows installer service could not be accessed" crap message. I went online and looked for all the solutions. i started to see some repeated results, so i assumed i went through them all, including going to the services.msc area, checking for a no-extension msiexec (which i dont have, btw). so i have no clue what's wrong. Any help?
