    It's installed on my thinkpad x230, the 8 gb of ram is because ram is so cheap, and for running virtual machines.

    Yeah one of the great things about crunchbang is how lightweight it is and I prefer simply using openbox than a DE.

    Crunchbang is great. How's your battery life on the x230? 6 or 9 cell?

    Yep. That's the default conky bundled in with Crunchbang. Very stable and nimble distro. Great for older laptops
