Re: Envy 13 display in LG p330?
You cannot change the display panel. The panel and webcam is an all-in-one module(LG named this as Shuriken technology), making the mounting and size not compactible with any other displays in market. I already bought CPT CLAA133WA01, a 13.3 display with 900p resolution, but as soon as I disassembled the front cover, I realised that other display panels cannot fit P330. As far as I know, HP Folio 13 uses the same display module (Shuriken). I am eager to buy for a 900p module for this shuriken housing, not knowing if the module is in schedule. (Sorry for my bad English since I am Korean.)

Thanks for the info, nastylemon! I knew the P330 had a slimmer bezel than most other laptops out there, but I didn't know the 'shuriken technology' also meant that the webcam is part of the display. You didn't take any pictures during the disassembly process, did you?

Re: Envy 13 display in LG p330?
Just out of curiosity: did you try hooking the panel up to the motherboard? Or maybe you remember how many pins the connector had? As far as I know no one has confirmed that the P330 would even be compatible with a panel that has a resolution beyond 768p.
Apart from not being able to use the mounting already in place, were there size constraints? Or is the Shuriken module simply taller because of the webcam? Thanks for your aid in this matter!

In that case a panel from a slim ultrabook like the UX31A or UX32VD might not be out of the question. Of course, we still don't know how high a resolution the P330 supports but I would be more than happy to swap my panel for a good 768p panel as well.
