The 310 was also sold in Canada. They're starting to stock the P210, P530 and P430's here as well so the P330 might be available in Canada soon.

I just hope it will be available in Hong Kong in time for Christmas.

id be pleasantly surprised if the cooling is sufficient

btw many sony high end laptops also have major cooling or fan problems, si the notebook class or price doesnt always define the quality
There are always risks with such high performance laptops, but if the cooling is done properly, then this laptop could be very appealing to a lot of people. But cooling is definitely something to keep in mind here.

It has the fastest dual core processor out there, which is probably better for games than the quad core i7-2630qm in my Y470 right now. (Although it is less future proof as games are starting to make use of quad cores right now). The graphics card is undoubtedly very appealing, since it is a 13.3 inch laptop.

A lot of people desire a small, powerful laptop, but I realized that the need is usually unwarranted, because I am fine with carrying my 14 inch around every day in university. And added to the fact that this quad core with GT 550m was $820, versus $2000 for the P330. I think the niche for this laptop are mainly people who travel a lot (businessmen, perhaps once every 2 weeks) who also play games, and don't have a desktop, and also for people who purely have enough money to afford these things.

But I think it can't be compared to the M14x. It is a 14 inch laptop with a 15 inch sized body, and even being heavier than many 15 inchers out there. And many 15 inchers are equipped with at least a GTX 560M, and equal or faster processors. The price difference is very small, too, since Alienware tend to mark up their prices quite a bit (but you did say you got a huge discount, so I'm not sure).

Shoutouts to anyone looking for a cheap reasonable performance laptop, Y470

Well said but none of the 15 inch with gtx 560m have optimus or use integrated card.
I loved my p150hm but it s 3 hours battery max just doing excel...
Sometime the gpu fans kicks in for no reason and it s big no no in a meeting.
And the battery cable weight a ton.
There is no gtx range perf below 3.3 kgs, that s 600 grms above m14x.
If u use your lappy for lanparty, it s a waaaay better choice than m14x.
If only i had a prove that the p330 is sold in retail store in seoul i would check for everyone but so far it s only online...
    Current :
    M18x R2 - i7 3720QM - 8gb - 7970m CFX - Micron C400 512gb - killer wireless N 1103
    LG P330 UE70K - 13 inch with GT555M and i7 - MSATA and HDD - 8 gb

My friend helped me confirm this with the help of her aunt (her family lives in Korea). Her aunt checked and said the P330 is available at LG stores. Just the i5 version though.

Thanks a lot! So, LG have its own retail stores in Korea?
So far I find no comment from Korean buyers on the Korean websites though. It should probably not be widely available immediately I guess.

The Y470 looks like a nice machine. Just wish it came with a 1600x900 screen.

    For a nice price too.

But yeah, anything above 1366*768 and you will only be able to run stuff on medium

Depends on what games you're running. I use my laptop for 90% productivity and 10% gaming (maybe more towards 75/25 sometimes), so I'd prefer the larger desktop space.

Ya the Y470's price is very good. The LG is a bit pricy but I guess it's targetting a different crowd (like you said people who travel and want everything in a thin, light profile).
