I thought the x230 only had a mini-display port and not thunderbolt?
X230 <- not bad. T40 was favorite before this.

You are correct. Commander Wolf was making a forward looking statement on the future availability of thunderbolt ports and their use as a replacement for docks. Right now Lenovo sells a USB3 dock, but many think that USB3 isn't really fast enough to use for that.

Any Norwegians here? I'm scared that the i7 version will be at least 20.000,- (NOK). That's 3,314.86 USD. Anyone remember what the x220t went for when new in Norway?

I got a really fast Corsair GT 2.5" 240GB SSD for my primary and a slower ADATA mSATA 60GB SSD for imaging/backup/encryption

When on the U.S site I called the sales number on top. The guy was in Canada and said that they ship from Canada and that I couldn't order from them when in Norway.

I'm a bit skeptical towards ebay, do you have any suggestion for a reseller in the U.S that would let me at least use a re-mailing service like jetcarrier?

Hi give Ted a call at www.HIDevolution.com - I just placed an order with him for the x230t (i've used his services before and I found him to be safe and very helpful). Give him the specs from the lenovo site -and they will order it -once they get it from lenovo they will then ship it on to you. theres a $820 discount at www.lenovo.com the moment so call him soon.

yes -its about $150 -but given that here is a $820 discount -its not too bad. -also if you want to add extra memory or an SSD then you save also (ie 16gb is only costing me $160). postage is about $170 (via fedex or dhl)

That's not bad at all. That shipping estimate was from them to you? And not from lenovo to them I hope.

When do you pay for it and how? Right away or when they get it from lenovo?
