Re: X230(t) Owner's Thread
I'm so glad I ran across this thread. Just placed an order for a x230 tablet with the following specs:
- Intel Core i7-3520M Processor (4MB L3, 2.90GHz)
- Windows 7 Professional (64 bit)
- 12.5" Multitouch HD (1366x768) LED Backlit Display, Mobile Broadband Ready, 2x2 Antenna
- Intel® HD Graphics 4000
- 4 GB PC3-12800 DDR3 (1 DIMM)
- Keyboard Backlit - US English
- UltraNav™ with TrackPoint® and buttonless multi-touchpad
- Fingerprint Reader
- 720p HD Camera
- 500GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm
- 6 Cell ThinkPad Battery X67+
- 65W AC Adapter - US (2pin)
- Bluetooth 4.0 with Antenna
- Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 AGN
plus some little accessories and 3 Year Onsite + Accidental Damage Protection
for less than $1600. A rather amazing deal! I've been waiting for a backlit keyboard.

Re: X230(t) Owner's Thread
Got my X230t today!
All I can say is this is an AMAZING laptop. Fit and finish are slightly better than X220 and the keyboard is simply great. To be 100% honest I actually prefer it over the classic keyboard. It feels stiff, has a great depth and a slight click to it. The backlight is nice too.
Also confirming that the multi-touch screen is in fact IPS. Awesome screen, no problem viewing this in bright light.
The laptop is insanely fast too and that's before I even dropped in my SSD drive (supposed to come tomorrow from NewEgg) or my 16GB RAM. Core i7 people will be happily surprised I think.
The battery is a bit ugly. The 6 cell is big and the base is not as clean as the rest of the laptop. Otherwise I'm stoked!

Re: X230(t) Owner's Thread
I don't know, I'm bad at judging weight and I don't have a scale. Maybe .75 lbs?
I dont mind that it's heavy (which it is), but its just damn ugly. The plastic rounded bottom does not match the thinkpad at all. It looks like one of those cheap aftermarket chinese batteries. I'm glad this is the bottom part of the laptop so I never have to look at it.
Reminds me of this ugly chick I used to know named Stephanie

Re: X230(t) Owner's Thread
Anyone have a list with differences between the different panels? like whats the difference between the multitouch IPS and the outdoor model? Are they equally bright
