    It won't hurt to try.

First time followed PDF guide exactly but this didn't work. Removed everything and reinstalled original drivers for IdeaPad S205. After that installed Dolby again, in 600XSettings.inx changed Hardware Id to mine, imported it to Dolby Tuning and Profile Creator and restarted computer. Now it works

The Dolby software works great on my Z565, hope this post will help other Z series owners out.

Not sure if anyone has reported this bug, or has a similar problem but whenever I am listening to a video via my headphones on a web browser, I am unable to adjust my volume using the "-" or the "+" button while on the tab with the video. However, once I switch tabs then I can adjust the volume freely. This only occurs at the beginning of the video. Example: Using Firefox, 2 tabs open, 1 e-mail, 1 yahoo video, if I play the yahoo video, I am unable to adjust the volume unless I switch to the e-mail, then the volume adjustment resumes. And it only happens sporadically.

Yes, I have encountered this Problem too. I think it's a feature. Only when a Program is highlighted (like VLC), you can change the Volume.

Drivers are working great on my W520. Speakers sound just as good as the ones on the W530, though there's a minor issue of the mute button sometimes not working (as in, it's muted and when I un-mute, the sound is still muted until I adjust it in Windows).

Other than that minor issue, this is a sweet workaround for the W520's otherwise terrible speakers. +1

I have the drivers installed on my w520. They work great for everything other than when I try to play movie or tv shows on my itunes. The movie sound plays for a few seconds before cutting out, and the video never engages. Is anybody else having a similar problem, and has anybody found a work around?

Not having any issue like that with mine. Maybe you could try to uninstall them, try downloading the software again (in case it was corrupted), and re-install with the new download (with no other programming running when doing so)?

At this moment really liking windows 8 on the ThinkPad E520.
According to Lenovo official support for Windows 8 will be after the official announce date of October 15.
Will there be a Windows 8 compatible version of the Dolby Home Theater software?

    600X, does this:

-Dolby Drivers only work, when they can pass through the Conexant or Realtek Sound Chip. This means either the internal Speakers or the Audio Jack. No USB, no Bluetooth, no HDMI and so on. Sound will play, but will sound terrible then.
mean that the sound quality through HDMI will sound the same as it does with or without the dolby drivers, or is it actually worse than normal?
