    Default x220 cases

    Hi,
Is there a good case made specifically for the x220 yet or ones that are confirmed to fit?

I am a big fan of messenger bags. So far I have used two: an old Tom Bihn and a Victorinox Architecture.

The X220 fits very well in both. However, I bought the Victorinox because my Tom Bihn was too old and had the belt clip broken.

I love the Victorinox, it's strong, stylish, and durable. It fits my X220 and its charger, and large notebook or folder, a hard drive, a flash drive, keys, headsets, and a couple of pens.

Although it is pricey ($160) compared to other laptop cases, I don't regret my decision to buy it.

Victorinox Architecture bags are really good, they are tough and the colour of the bag complements that of the Thinkpad.

There's actually two nice long threads on here about sleeves for the 6- and 9-cell versions. If you are interested in a sleeve (or possibly a sleeve with a shoulder strap), you might check those threads.

Have a link to both? I see the one for 9 cell not too far burried, but I went back page by page all the way to April and didnt see another thread. Unfortunately that 9 cell sleeve thread offers no usefull information at all for the 6 cell.

I have a 6 cell X220 inbound. I am interested in this as well. Sleeve more then a full case. I got suckered into the Lenovo sleeve like many others, only to read afterwards it is WAY to big. Now I am on the hunt for a sleeve that will fit this thing like a glove. Unfortunately while I have seen a few threads about the lenovo sleeves not fitting and asking what does around the net, not a single one of them offers any real solution. Surely SOMEONE has to of found something that fits well by now!

Ideally I would like to find a ziperless type similar to what is pictured below. I have a similar caselogic sleeve meant for portable dvd players that couldnt fit any more perfect for my netbook (netbook was from when the 10" types very first started rolling out, thus no propper/specific labled sleeves existed yet). I would like to do the same for the X220.

Here's the 6-cell one (though it's shorter than I remember):

The 9-cell one has some good options, including the expensive one from the first page that has an option for the 6- or 9-cell size. sfbags.com or something like that...

Those sleeves look pretty nice. Let me know if you find one that fits nicely!
