Just received yesterday my brand new X220. Configuration is: Core i7, 8Gb RAM, 160Gb SSD, IPS screen, Ericsson WWAN card, 6 cell battery, UltraBase3 dock with DVD drive. Very happy with my purchase!

Congrats! I just ordered a very similar system yesterday except I ordered a 80gb mSATA for the WWAN slot and left the 320 GB HDD for storage. They even threw in a sleeve and a wireless mouse and keyboard.

For storage I'm using a 500Gb drive (2.5"/7200rpm) in an external USB/eSATA enclosure.
I forgot to mention, my unit also came with one USB3 port.

Sorry but what's the optional IPS screen? Just ordered a refurb x220 unit with the I5 for $660?? Best deal that I could find but it's doesn't have the IPS screen.

IPS provides wide viewing angles and a high contrast ratio, which offers a much better viewing experience.
