Re: ThinkPad X220 (i/T) Owners Thread
Just received mine. First Lenovo I've ever used. I'm at work so I couldn't play with it too much. The only issue I'm seeing is what seems like a lot of flex when I push the Power and Thinkvantage buttons. Is this normal? It seems to be raised up a bit in this area also. The rest of the keyboard seems solid.

Re: ThinkPad X220 (i/T) Owners Thread
Can someone with a default unadulterated X220 factory install please post the exported Power Manager - Power Plan configurations (for all 5 profiles). When installing Power Manager driver & util from Lenovo's site the profiles are not the same as factory.
Thanks.
Also, Laptop runs awesome! Get a the similar 'burn in' effect that last for no longer then a couple minutes if you fully discharge the laptop (battery out, unplugged, and hold down the power button for 10 seconds) it starts to go away.
Installed Intel 320 160gb SSD and 8gb RAM with a fresh install of Win 7 Ultimate, did not use Lenovo's Intel HD Drivers, set up for UEFI only. So far no problems, works great, fast, 5.6 Windows Experience Points. 9.8 sec boot up without tweaking services yet or rapid boot.

Re: ThinkPad X220 (i/T) Owners Thread
Well my situation seems to have worked out nicely. Lenovo agreed to take back the defective machine without any restocking fee, and I'm now using the second one. No bezel gap in this one and very minor bleed only at the bottom of the screen, what's probably considered normal. One mouse button is very loose and rattles so I'll swap in the keyboard from the first machine.
Btw, this is the first model Thinkpad I've owned (T41, T60, T400, X200T, X61T) that's got no battery wobble.Thinkpad X220 | i5-2520M | IPS | 4gb | Intel 6205 | FPR | BT | Camera | X25-M 160gb

Re: ThinkPad X220 (i/T) Owners Thread
Does anyone here have Elpida or Samsung RAM in dual channel? I have one stick of Elpida 2GB and one of Samsung 2GB with the exact same specs to the T, timing and everything, but CPU-Z has does not show they are in dual channel. I've read that it's a myth that the sticks have to be identical for DC as long as they have the same specs, which these do.
The only thing I can think of is that the Elpida is 2Rx8 and Samsung 1Rx8 (I think x8, but it's 1R for sure, whatever that means. But it seems to have to do with the number of RAM chips on each side)

Re: ThinkPad X220 (i/T) Owners Thread
Yea right button. The other machine doesn't have it though. It's not unique to the X220, I've had this is in one or two other models. The parts page shows three keyboard suppliers as usual, I'll note the fru's when swapping them; keyboard feel is the same between both.
