Default Comparison between x200s and x201

some comparison pictures of x200s with high resolution screen and x201.

Not much difference in weight or thickness. Really like the lid design on x200s more.

Very nice jor! Any reason why you picked up the X201 (assuming you got this second)? And when will you be using the X201 now vs X200s? This is actually my first time seeing the X200s' high resolution screen and it's even better that you have an X201 right next to it for comparison purposes. Rep for that!

I paid about the same price for both. x200s is a refurb though.

    in my case

    x200s - sl9400, 2gb, 160gb 5400rpm, 6cell,fingerprint reader
    x201 - i5-480, 4gb, 500gb 7200rpm, 9cell

x201 is not much heavier or thicker, with the same battery ( i bought a spare 6 cell).

maybe more 'future proof'. x200s is running vista, kind of slow.

the screen on x200s is not as good as i thought. not evenly lit. bad viewing angle. the font size is kind of too small for me.

anyways... i've decided. so don't try to change my mind. it's really hard to pick one.

    Nice nice~

it really doesnt seem to be much difference.

do u have the LED backlit screens? screen may be their most noticible feature (other than processor). can you do some comparison of a really high res images or movies and see if it makes much difference, or the maximum res setting how small are the desktop icons when compared etc

Why not upgrade the x200s to Windows 7, the driver model is near identical to Vista. The x201 is more "futureproof" but the x200 should have no issues tackling office work.

    x200s is LED lit.

I already boxed it up for return... sorry

really, 1280x800 looks better on this computer, at least to me

the screen is working as well as i expect for what i am doing. and that was the only reason i'd pick the x200s

Ah, I see, but looks like the difference in pictures doesnt seem so big, tho in real life it could be too dense unless fonts get boosted.
    Jor, enjoy your jor!
