Windows XP Clean Install

Double click that file.

During the installation, it should pop up another window asking for the Audio Driver. Then follow these steps:

5. Choose option "No, not this time".
6. Choose "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)".
7. Choose "Search for the best driver in these locations".
8. Uncheck all but "Include this location in the search:".
9. Browse for "c:\drivers\win\audio\smaxwdm\w2k_xp".
10. After installation of the audio, wait and it will prompt you for the modem driver.
11. Repeat steps 5-8.
12. Browse for "c:\drivers\hdamodem\win2kxp".
13. Hit finish.

I've tried this, but still it's not showing up any new devices.
Tried a new reinstall of Win XP SP2.
Then installed:

• Monitor driver http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-62923
• Extracted audio driver http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-67816
• Extracted Modem driver http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-61454
• Installed UAA http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-65456

Even after a reboot, there is no new hardware found......

What happens when you install the UAA? Does it just go through until you click finish without detecting audio hardware?

There is no device in the device manager to install the driver on......

There is no more devices after the UAA installation.
Only the ones that where there before the installation of UAA.

No, it doesn't....
And the KB888111 is listed as installed i Add/remove programs.
