    Default T43 vs Dell D610

Through my educational discount I can get a T43 for a couple of hundred dollars more than the dell D610 with the same spec. Is it worth the premium or am I paying for the IBM soon to be chineese name. Also what is the main difference between a T43 and a T43p ?

dell constructs in china without the 'chineese' name.

not all chinese products are bad.

the t40 series odm is korean (lg) i believe.

a name is just a name and the lenovo purchase of ibmpc doesn't affect the t43 in the slightest with the exception of extended warranties, which i doubt will change.

i think pcmag has a benchmark comparison of the d610 vs other sonomas and the t42, so that may be a good gauge.

Great - I'll chase down the review. Any thoughts on the Dell vs IBM comparison yourself ?
