May I ask what were the applications and/or conditions you ran your machine under?

    Thanks!

Would you mind telling me the model of the chipset? Is it still HM76?

I have the SLI 750m version with 12 gb ram from neweg. Interestingly enough even though neweg lists the laptop as 8gb SSD I recieved a 24gb SSD.

It is thinner than the Y500, but its not a huge difference.
    The screen is Anti-Glare
I haven't tested the battery life yet.

    Benchmarks
    3DMark11 Score: 5180
    Unigine Heaven FPS: ~51.5 fps
For your 3dmark 11 score, are you over clocking the gpu because the y500 750m sli base score is around 4500, if that's the case there is some improvements.

No that's stock, right out of the box.

For what I said about the batter, that was just a guesstimate by looking at how fast the battery was draining. Really you should probably ignore it, it could be completely off.

The build quality feels good. I'd say above average. About 70% of the laptop has a metal casing. Its pretty much the same build quality as the Y500 I'd say.

So far I have loved the touch pad. It took a little to get used to but It seems really accurate and I like using it. Then again I haven't really used a lot of touch pads, and I probably wont use this one to much.

Wonder if the ultrabay is the same size as the y500?

Can you verify that the touch pad is a synaptics one. Also what were your temperatures after your bench mark test. When I get home I will run bench marks to compare but if its true then haswell has improve gpu performance some what. I know one member on here posted some results from 3dmark 11 with scores around 4900-5000 over clocked, but that was pushing the gpu's to the limit.

    Yep, I'm running synaptics touchpad.

The temperatures were pretty low, without a cooler on a flat table the highest I could get the GPU to go was like 72 degrees ish.
