Well I got an answer as to my UPS issue... My order wasn't showing up in the UPS tracking. I talked to someone at Lenovo yesterday and here is the relevant sentence from the email I just got:

"According to UPS the order never showed up from the airline, so right now informal status with UPS is Missing In Transit."

Awesome. She said they can process a new order for me or credit my money back. I've already bought an mSATA so I don't have much of an option.

    @ shoeman6

    Thanks for advice.

Hopefully the problem can be fixed via BIOS update, Windows update or with a driver update. Sounds to me like it can easily be fixed or either a user error but then again I haven't have the laptop long enough and through extensive usage.

I tried uninstalling the drivers, and then using DriverSweeper to remove remaining NVIDIA files before reinstalling. I'd then manually replace nvlddmkm.sys, but still get BSOD after an hour or two of use.

I've tried doing a clean install of NVIDIA's latest Verde drivers 275.33, however the drivers cannot detect that I have an NVIDIA card. I've also tried doing an express install (upgrade installation) with 267.43 preinstalled, but 275.33 still does not recognize that I have an NVIDIA card in my system.

I then tried the latest beta drivers 275.50 and while it does not detect an NVIDIA card on a clean installation, it WILL be able to express install if I have 267.43 pre-installed. HOWEVER, upon rebooting after upgrading to 275.50, my system experiences a hard lock up before I'm able to do anything. No BSOD or any error message, just freezes, and I have to manually power down and enter safe mode to remove the NVIDIA drivers.

Any advice? I'm running driverless right now since I'm tired of dealing with the BSOD issues. I've also tried editing the INF files for the 275.33 and 275.50 drivers, but I still can't get the drivers to recognize the GeForce 550M, but it's possible I could be doing it wrong. If anyone knows how to properly add the 550M to the INF of the 275.33 or 275.50 drivers and send it to me I would be very grateful.

    Thanks
I am having a very similar problem with no solution yet

I guess we got the second un-rushed batch.

My bros Y570 has quality written all over it with the exception of the un-noticeable flex already mentioned a few pages back in this thread.

It came standard 2x2Gb and like many other on this thread have mentioned I was expecting 1x4Gb and planning on sticking another 2GB to make it 6GB.

But it's cool both ways cause it's Dual Channel right of the bat and my bro is happy with 4GB, either way if he wants to upgrade he can just sell the 2GB and purchase 4GB.

Did I mention the Samsung ram that comes with this laptop is high quality original Samsung Green memory.

We're happy with purchase and with Lenovo as a manufacturer.
