I just saw the information about the new Envy 6t, the ultrabook. I don't understand how they can have a laptop that costs upward of $1000 with decent upgrades and still give you 1366x768 display as the only option. How is that in any way characteristic of a "luxury" line of laptops? But whatever...

I don't know why CNET mockingly called it a Fauxtrabook. I mean, it's a thinner and lighter 15" laptop but not a premium build with light weight materials, and priced at $699 which is a bargain for what it looks like you'll get. It should appeal to those that don't need quite the power of the dv6t Quad but rather would like something lighter and still with some oomph.

Now, will they offer a screen upgrade from 1366 x 768 is the question.

The Sony VAIO SE is a 4.4 pound 15-inch laptop. No one called that a "fauxtrabook". That's a pretty poor excuse for a portmanteau to begin with

M6 looks similar to the DV6 actually. So plasticky.

Boy that's liberal use of the term review, the author spent a few minutes with it on a showroom floor which hardly qualifies as a rigorous test and analysis. The pictures are dark and overexposed as well. It's hard to get decent pictures in a hotel convention room though.

Whats the resolution on the screen? I see HD LED in the video but I don't know what that translates to....HP is always changing its definition of "HD".

Just saw YouTube vid which says it starts out at 1366x768. Hope it comes with an option to upgrade to 1080....
