Laptop is great except my Backlit keyboard function (F5) is not working. Could this be a driver issue or am I going to have to disassemble to see if a cable is disconnected? I tried BIOS update, didn't fix it....ugh.

Got the laptop yesterday. All looks and seems well. My one concern is the DPC latency, it seems to average between 1000 and 2000 microseconds, which is commonly considered to be bad - it should be on average below 500 microseconds. My desktop, for example, is running at under 100 microseconds. Is anyone else getting this result? The DPC latency checker program is here. For those who aren't aware, high DPC latencies can be caused by misbehaving drivers or programs, and high latencies can cause sound and video problems. Does anyone have experience diagnosing this?

Okay, here is another tool that can find the source of DPC latency - I'll try it later - but I encourage you all to give it a shot!

Looks like the DPC latency cause is ACPI.sys - that is supposed to be power management related - which makes sense considering I was testing it on battery.

Try disabling WI-FI and see if that fixes the problem?wireless card drivers are usually the cause of high DPC latency .
If it does help ,try updating ur wireless driver.

I have asked this question already but i didn't get a good answer so here it is again: is the 1080p screen on the dv6 an IPS screen or not?
Can somebody please give me a good answer with model number from the screen etc.

One of the suppliers from the store I work at got them on stock today (Yesterday they were still listed as 'expected 04/06/2012') so I inmediately ordered one for myself.. They are quite hard to find right now and most models probably won't be available in store till early june. If you are willing to come purchase it in Belgium I might be able to help for the 7080eb, but it'll be azerty. Other models are not in stock at all. (DV7-7080eb is available as well..)

My keyboard wasn't even clipped in correctly, and now that it is the thing looks like an angry ocean.
