Does anyone have the DV6T? I just want to make sure there aren't any differences.

I mean sure, there are budget reasons but you don't go budget for this kind of laptop at least in my opinion.
For me it certainly was a budget decision. The great thing about this laptop is that it is entirely affordable with the discounts offered. My setup came out to $817 which is a very affordable price for high end specs. I'm not saying that the upgrade wasn't worth it, but I don't think it is necessary to call others foolish for buying the lower res screen to save money. 1360x768 is pretty much standard on most retail laptops now so I don't think its ridiculous to think that the standard screen would serve its purpose well. Also, I don't think you can fairly use the previous models as a reference as the full HD screen is, from what I can tell, much better than the previous one. So again I say, wait until you receive the laptop before deciding that the screen just won't do.

Yes, and it is a horrible standard, I miss the days of 1440x900 on budget laptops.

I'm going to get the dv7t-7000 as a replacement so I can review that and see how the fit and finish is. Not suppposed to ship until 5/29 though so it's going to be a couple of weeks. The dv6t goes back tomorrow (last day before RMA expires)

    And on another note...

For those on the fence for ordering that wanted to see what Memorial Day weekend deals / coupons would be. It appears the dv7t Quad has an ok coupon for the base configuration at least, but the dv6t Quad coupon isn't going to be as good -- both should start at $799.

With that coupon it looks like you'll be better off if you pick modest specs, but worse off if you go with a higher end configurations.

I saved $584 with my purchase.

placed my order for a CTO dv7t on May 17th. It shipped today from China, and the expected ship date was May 31. Pretty happy about that. Lets hope they figured out their quality control issues now.

    dv6t-7000 - Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230

This does not mean that your unit will have this specific wireless card (it's how you configure it) but this is what I had available to show you.

    Hope this helps.

Strange that a CTO model doesn't always get an Intel wireless card.
