    I don't know about pre-orders.

Here's a decent article about the Ivy Bridge launch schedule, but I doubt the mobile chipsets will have to wait until June like the author says, especially since a couple Ivy Bridge notebooks are already available to pre-order.

Oh, gotcha. What is the likelihood of HP offering a 30% coupon or similar on the release date? Have they been known to do this?

650m would make most sense, as it should be similar TDP to 555m which the DV6/7 can handle. 660m will most likely be more like the 570m and that may be too much heat to handle.

    Hehe.

I took a screenshot; I was just feeling too lazy to upload it at the time.

Nice! I see that the dv7 is going to have an NVidia GT 650m (GDDR5). Do you guys think that's going to be the highest GPU upgrade?

My guess is yes. Its TDP should be similar to that of the 7690m xt, with higher performance. I would expect the same, or even slightly higher performance than the 7750m that's reported to be in the upcoming ENVY 15/17.

Certainly the release of these machines are imminent. Just hope we can get some good feedback asap if it's a worthy update from Llano.
