Re: COMING SOON (WITH VIDEOS): dv4 / dv6 / dv7 / g4 / g6 / g7 Notebooks (Intel Ivy Bridge)
I did not mean to be rude or anything, i just wanted it to be clear and it is now.
I really hope there will be a good graphics card in the better models, not the 630m. This would just mean a downgrade from the present line-up. If there will be a matte 1080p screen and a better graphics card i will definitely buy one this summer. I just hope they will be available with these options in Europe.

As for the graphics I sure hope so, 630m is somehow just a bit slower than the 7690m XT. However since there is no official leaks/indication of what the graphics card is yet I'd say this is just a rumor, Guess we're just gonna have to wait and see :/
I too will buy a new Dv6 if it's something better than the 630m, that's why I cancelled my dv6 order a few days ago to wait for the new series.
Worse case scenario(in my case) if the top for dv6 is 630m then I'll just reorder the laptop from before.

I agree with you.. regarding buying in Europe: if you can buy it in the States (if you travel there or whatever) you can have a much better deal;-)
About the Gpu, most of the info about the Keplers and new fermis is still under wraps. I'm guessing the higher end graphics option on the new DVs hasn't been disclosed so nvidia can keep their game plan secret regarding how their new GPU's compare to the new ones..Last edited by fmmsf; 16th March 2012 at 03:22 PM.

Anyone care to tell me what the port to the right of the HDMI port on the dv6 in the video is?

Giving credit to your source is important when websites depend on ad revenue, and when you don't want to look like you may be guilty of plagiarism.
If all he did was post links to the videos then it wouldn't have been obvious where he got the information, because then HP's youtube channel would be the source, but he posted details that could only be found together here.
Anyway, if your source isn't secret or exclusive, you should give credit.
It's not anything new really, but here's a link to a picture of the dv6:

and the dv7:
http://www.webservice-foto.net/foto....2-065D14A05269
Dimensions- length xheight xdepth; weight
dv6: 37.8 x3.26 x24.7 cm 2.57kg
dv7: 41.6 x3.52 x27.4 cm 3.15kg
from http://www.ariannacomputer.it and http://www.giordanengocomputers.it and http://mediateksennori.it/
At http://www.thesoundcomputer.net/ they have the Core i5 2450m listed as the processor (instead of the 3210m), but I think it's a mistake.Last edited by Drac; 16th March 2012 at 09:30 PM.

Re: COMING SOON (WITH VIDEOS): dv4 / dv6 / dv7 / g4 / g6 / g7 Notebooks (Intel Ivy Bridge)
Hi guys,
I just recently bought a dv6z that is expected to be delivered on March 20th. Do you think I'll make the 21 day refund policy by the time the Ivy Bridge dv6's come out? Is April 8th an actual confirmed date and will there be time to pre-order before then?
Thanks
