As I remember correctly, a few of you were wondering if the dv6 would actually come with a GeForce GT 650M option.

I can now officially confirm that it is an option!

HP has released the NVIDIA graphics driver (version 295.55) for these notebooks.

HTWingNut, I found this online. I don't know if it is legit but it does seem interesting.. What do you think?

Folks, are HP's the 'back to school' discounts/promotions better than the Black Friday's?

Last year I saw some of the most aggressive deals during the July/August time frame of back to school from HP. Lots of coupons and price cuts, about on par with Black Friday. The difference was they don't do the typical door buster type deals during black to school, ya' know, the $250 - $299 laptop with horrible specs but unbeatable price. Not something you'd actually want as a work horse.

I guess I should have clarified, no 17" AMD with dedicated GPU.

This is probably the best place to ask this: Is there a reason we don't appear to have a Trinity thread yet?

If you find any details about HP notebooks with Trinity, please post them in this thread. We have found mostly Ivy Bridge information so far - but I'll gladly post up some Trinity information too.

I think that it's the first live video of the next HP Pavilion dv6 7000 series with Ivy Bridge

Nice find, they look great. Seems like they really have beefed up the audio. I find it quite humorous that the leaked picture of the XPS 15 to be released soon looks, based on renderings at least, strikingly similar to what the HP dv6-7000 looks like. Great minds think alike (?)
