BIOS Application Error 501
Got a HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 CTO Quad. Upon start up it goes to a black screen saying that an application in BIOS is missing and to reinstall it. Just below that it says "BIOS Application Error 501." This is the second time it has happened. The first time it sent me to the recovery screen and I did a factory reset. It just now happened but windows started up after hitting a enter. Anyone else get this.

Try updating the bios. You can find the latest bios at HP.com.

Try install/reinstall HP System Diagnostics UEFI.

You should be able to download it from HP driver support page for your laptop model.
