anyone know what the best screen calibration settings are for the dv6 6135dx?, in terms of brightness, gamma, contrast. Default just looks so faded and bright and i want the picture quality to look as crisp as possible. So far i brought the gamma down from the default to -65 and looks a lot better.

Just ordered mine.... DV6-6145dx from newegg for a whooping $400. No tax and free shipping. Only downside... refurbished. I don't mind. I just got an AMD A8 CPU, 8GB of ram, and 640GB hdd for $400, I'm not complaining, plus newegg's customer service is pretty good.

I can NOT wait until it arrives. Just a quick question, when I first receive it, I will be wiping the whole harddrive and reinstalling Windows 7. Do the drivers from the first page still apply? Is there any newer drivers?

I am going to use the laptop for about an week before I start OCing it, just to make sure everything is working properly. Other than that, any new tips for an new purchase?

Whoa, wrong thread, meant to post this in the Definitive DV6z thread.
Current (on the way as of 5/15/12) HP DV6-6145dx. AMD A8, 8GB RAM, 640GB 5200RPM.

Old news Inspiron 1520 Sold! Replacing with HP DM3-1047NR.
    Intel SU4100 1.3GHz, 4GB RAM, 320GB 7200RPM HDD.
Waiting for those SSD prices to go down already!

For those interested: Trinity review up at Anandtech.

Seems like an incremental increase rather than a game changer.

Go in to Catalyst, go to Power and then PowerPlay. Turn off Varibright. Makes a huge difference.

6650m? Less than 20% over 6620G? In the other benchmark graphs it's showing it less than 6630m.

So far no way to OC 6620G, and likely no with the Trinity GPU. On average < 20% improvement, which is significant but far from a game changer as R3d stated.
