Re: dv6 now shipping with AMD Llano?
Cool.
I guess you planning on re-installing Windows and finding the latest drivers for all the devices?
I won't bother you any more requests, thanks for everything you've done here.

Re: dv6 now shipping with AMD Llano?
No one ever claimed a game would be CPU bottlenecked. Just like you admitted, it makes can make a difference of up to 10 FPS. But for mobile cards 10 FPS can mean quite a bit...
I hope you are right but judging from AMD and pretty much any technological company's history, stuff like a drive rewrite doesn't provide the kind of performance boosts you are looking for.
If you are right, and llano could make a 6750m into a GTX 460m (which is what a 30-40% boost is) then this would be a technological breakthrough in mobile computing. And I just don't see it...if AMD really had that in Llano there's no way they would sell it (the 6755g2) for what they are selling it for. You know companies - they want to charge as much $ as they can.

Re: dv6 now shipping with AMD Llano?
More people use their CPU's to the fullest than all the shaders in their GPU's to the fullest, so Intel + IGP combo would be good for the mainstream majority who'll never play a game more demanding than The Sims while their computer will be faster at everything else they do.

Re: dv6 now shipping with AMD Llano?
Haha, I never said Intel i3/i5/i7 I just said Intel cause they still make Pentiums and coming out with Celeron this generation.
These people are either AMD haters or just want to front with the Intel logo on their laptop.

Re: dv6 now shipping with AMD Llano?
Ya know what I think I'm going to buy this thing
The pricing is very good and you don't sacrifice much compared to the dv6t.
I'm hoping that it at least gets up on par with the 6770m
