FedEx doesn't handle HP parcels on Saturday-Monday (according to the super), so those aren't held against it as "business days" and FedEx would be able to "ship" the laptop from Alaska on Tuesday, November 3rd, which would be when HP starts its magical "shipping timer" for the 2-3 day shipping.

Sounds like that guy was giving you the go-around, FedEx should handle HP parcels on Mondays. According to HP's web site, business days are "Monday through Friday, excluding New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day".

Yeah, of course he was. It's his job. It was apparent he was giving us a line of crap from the point when he supported the rep in saying that 2-3 business day shipping does not mean 2-3 business days from shipped date. C'est la vie.

Mine is in Shanghai with an expected delivery date of Niv 1st, as per Fedex. I don't mind the shipping time since:

1) Shipping was free
2) Built date was Oct 30th and it was shipped yesterday, quicker than anticipate, wich is awesome!

Deception : My 500GB 7200 Drive is in fact 2 x 250GB ... :-( Anyways, Half a TB in a lappy shall be enough!

BUUUUUUUT, on top of that, after escalating the call to the supervisor, there was a much more complicated excuse. Apparently the laptop won't clear customs until tomorrow at the earliest, and probably late tomorrow at that. So after being shipped from China on the 25th, we're expecting my laptop to arrive on November 5th or 6th, just two or three short days later! Thanks, HP!
