I don't think you'll get the HD3200. The dv2 doesn't use the M770 chipset As far as I know so will have the X1270 igp instead og the HD 3200. So no hybrid.

This is less powerful, with this you would be trading cpu power for battery life.

Would the performance noticeable? I love the chiclet style keyboard and long battery life in a laptop.

Yes, you have a lower front side bus speed, less L2 cache, and a slower clockspeed. For example my brother has a Vaio SR with a P8400, and my Acer has an SU9400.

Differences between our computers:

Speed
P8400=2.26GHz
SU9400=1.4GHz

Front Side Bus Speed
P8400=1066mhz FSB
SU9400=800mhz FSB

Amount of L2 Cache
P8400=3mb l2 cache
SU9400 =3mb l2 cache

Power Usage
P8400=25W
SU9400=10W

Graphics Power
His SR=ATI 3470
My 3810T=Intel GMA 4500

In my computer I knew I valued battery life over speed and power, thats why I bought it.

And is there anything known more about the DM1?

Will it have HDMI?
What kind of screenresolution will it have?
What kind of screen will they use? Glare / matte?
What will it look like? A smaller version of the DM3?

They need to do better like put in a SU4100 or su9400 in there and make it weigh 3.5 lbs or lighter.

For normal usage: no. Only CPU intensive applications like calculations will run faster on the DV3.

No links as the HP web site will be updated in due course.
But you can expect that all Pavillions will have LED Brightview displays (glossy like your mirror), 1366x768 resolution (the new 1280x800), competitive pricing, HDMI and Intel/AMD options.
