I probably would. The dead pixel in the middle of the screen would drive me bonkers. They should let you return it since you are within your 21 days of receiving it. It's a really quick process to get your money back, but another long wait to get your computer.

The pixel doesn't even bother me anymore, it's this damn "A" key. It was fine but after I was done playing some CS:S, I noticed it began to start squeaking every now and then (once it starts it takes roughly 10 more pushes for it to go back to normal).

I don't know, maybe it'll go stop on its own?

Anyone who used DV3T for atleast a week - Does it have heat or noise issue ? How long does the battery last ?

I've had mine for a little over a week now. In a completely quiet room, you can hear the fan, but it's super quiet. If you're in a room with noise and what not, you won't be able to hear the fan. No heat issue for me at all. It gets slightly warm on the right palm rest, where I believe the HD is. I have the regular 6-cell battery. It last about 2 hours on the recommended HP power plan. I'm unsure how long it will last on the power saver plan. HTH.

I ordered my dv3t during the July 4th specials with a $30 stackable coupon, and it arrived today but won't get to use it until tomorrow when I get back home. Came out to be $752.99 before tax. I was so excited about ordering it that I really didn't do my research and am now kinda worried about my choice with the processor. Is the P-series really that much better than the T-series? I like to be able to access things fast, but will it really make that much of a difference? Here are the specs:

HP Pavilion Entertainment dv3t customizable Notebook PC

• Espresso Black
• Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
• Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T6400 (2.0GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
• FREE Upgrade to 4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) from 2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• 50% OFF!! 500GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive from 320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
• Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
• 13.3" diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP LED BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)
• LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW with Double Layer Support
• Webcam Only
• Wireless-G Card
• No Included Mobile Broadband
• HP Color Matching Keyboard
• 9 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
• System Recovery DVD with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit)
• Microsoft(R) Works 9.0

I got the P series because it seemed like a lot of people were say they run cooler than the T series. I'm not sure how much they compare as far as speed. You could test it out for a week and see if you're fine with the speeds and the heat. If you don't like it, then they'll it back and you can exchange it for the P series.

Regarding heat, the P series and T series will be virtually the same at idle and doing normal tasks. But at full load, the P series will put off less heat than the T series by 10W. As for performance, a P series will be faster, but your set up is fine and you would probably not notice the performance difference.
